JACQUELINE R. CHACKO

A graduate of the Faculty of Law, Cave Hill, University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley School, Jamaica, Jacqueline was called to the Barbados Bar in 2001.  She has garnered extensive experience in the areas of Corporate and Commercial Law, Trust, Financing and Banking, Insurance, and Mergers and Acquisitions.  Jacqueline also has a wealth of experience in the area of Corporate Governance and in the provision of Corporate Secretarial Services.  Her practice areas also include Labour and Employment law.  She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) as well as the Barbados Bar Association.

LAURA HARVEY-READ

Laura obtained her Law Degree with honours from the University of Warwick, in the United Kingdom in 2006. She then joined the Honourable Society of Lincolns Inn and was called to the Bar in England and Wales in 2007. Laura then attended the Hugh Wooding Law School and was admitted to practise in Barbados in 2008. Laura carries on a general civil practice.

SHIRLEY BEHARRE PROCOPE

After having spent 24 years in and around the practice of Law, and after having received her designation as an Administrative Corporate Secretary, Shirley proceeded to read for a degree in Law at the University of Wolverhampton, and the Hugh Wooding Law School. She was called to the Barbados Bar in 2013, and her area of specialised practice is in property law, dealing with transactions for both local and overseas clients, and includes Conveyances, Mortgages, Residential Developments, Commercial and Residential leases and Debt Recovery.

MAWENA MAYNARD

Mawena S. DeC. Maynard graduated from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus with honours and the Hugh Wooding Law School. She was admitted to practice law in Barbados in 2012. Having joined Hastings Attorneys-At-Law as an Associate in 2014, Mawena works primarily in the Litigation Department and carries on a General Litigation practice.

MICAELA PILE

Micaela obtained her Bachelors in Law with honours from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in 2011. She then proceeded to the Hugh Wooding Law School and graduated on the Principal’s Honour Roll in 2013. She was admitted to practice in Barbados in 2013. Micaela’s practice includes Conveyances, Mortgages, Debt Recovery and Estates.
