After having spent 24 years in and around the practice of Law, Shirley obtained her Law Degree with honours from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom in 2006. She attended the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad and Tobago and obtained her Legal Education Certificate in 2013. Shirley was called to the Bar in Barbados in October 2013 and joined Hastings Attorneys-At-Law as an Associate that same year. She practises in the Property Department focusing in the areas of conveyances, residential developments, commercial and residential leases, estates, mortgages, and high-value debt recovery and trademarks.
She also holds the Administrative Corporate Secretary designation from the University of the West Indies.
Shirley’s interests include reading, travelling and family.
Shirley is a member of the Barbados Bar Association. She is also a member of the Roman Catholic Living Water Community.
